For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Magdeburg, Hafen, Kohleverladeanlage Illus Biscan 20.9.1951 Zwischenstation auf dem Weg von Prag nach Hamburg. Die tschechoslowakischen Elbe- Schiffahrtsgesellschaft (CSPL) hat in Magdeburg eine Niederlassung eingerichtet, die von allen Schleppzügen angelaufen wird, die entweder mit Exportgütern auf dem Wege nach Hamburg sind oder von dort Importgüter nach der CSR bringen. UBz: Anlage zur Übernahme von Kohlen. Die Bebunkerungsanlage der CSPL in Magdeburg ist die größte und leistungsfähigste. Unsere tschechoslowakischen Freunden stellen sie daher auch der deutschen Schiffahrt zur Verfügung.
