For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Illus-Elbe-Bild Leu-Be. 5.6.1951 Dampferfahrt Berliner Schulkinder zum Internationalen Kindertag am 1.6.51. Die Deutsche Schiffahrts- und Umschlagszentrale hat zum Internationalen Kindertag 50 Berliner Schulkinder des 9. Schuljahres zu einer Fahrt auf ihrem neu eingesetzten Dampfer "Dresden" von Dresden nach Schmilka eingeladen. UBz: Der Schüler Horst Simon aus Berlin erklärte: "Der heutige Tag ist der schönste des Jahres. In vier Wochen werde ich die Schule verlassen und bei der Reichsbahn anfangen. Neben meiner beruflichen Arbeit werde ich eines nie vernachlässigen: Immer und jederzeit einsatzbereit zu sein wenn es gilt, den Frieden zu erhalten. Mit dem heutigen schönen Erlebnis lerne ich noch mehr als bisher den Frieden zu schätzen." |
