Zwickau, "Karl-Liebknecht-Werk", Förderturm, Bauarbeiter Illus Zeidler 18.4.1951 Die ersten Schießversuche bei der Steinkohlen-Förderung nach der Anregung der polnischen Berarbeiter-Delegation wurden im "Karl-Liebknecht-Werk", Zwickau - Ölsnitz erfolgreich durchgeführt. Man erhofft eine erhebliche Steigerung der Förderung durch die breite Anwendung des Verfahrens. UBz: Die Aktivistenbrigade, die die ersten Schießversuche durchführte. vlnr: Ungethüm, Härtel, Steiger Illgner und Kerfurth.

English: Winding tower of «Friedrich Engels» Shaft, 1951. The former “Gottes-Hilfe-Schacht” was begun in 1903, it was 552 meters deep in 1899. In 1935 it was made deeper for an total depth of 578 meters. After WWII renamed Friedrich Engels. Original shaft building from 1895, winding tower was added as early as 1900. The miners in the forefront are pioneered in introducing a new mining method, coal blasting with inert explosives. Karl-Liebknecht mine in Oelsnitz, Saxony, Germany.
Deutsch: Das Fördergerüst des ehemaligen Friedrich-Engels-Schachtes in Oelsnitz. Der Friedrich-Engels-Schacht hieß bis 1945 Gottes-Hilfe-Schacht und gehört zum de:Steinkohlenwerk Karl Liebknecht. Teufbeginn 1893, 1899 552 m tief, 1935 auf 578 m weiterverteuft. Schachthaus von 1895, Fördergerüst um 1900.
