For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Großotterleben, Werbung für Schweinemastverträge Illus Biscan 486.AV Ko-Mü. Berlin W 8 22.2.1951 Schweinemastverträge steigern das Fleisch- und Fettaufkommen. Gegenwärtig werben Vertreter der Nationalen Front, der Parteien und Massenorganisationen auf dem Lande für den Abschluß von Schweinemastverträgen, um die Fleisch- und Fettversorgung in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik weiterhin zu verbessern. Durch den Abschluß eines Schweinemastvertrages verpflichtet sich der Bauer, Schweine innerhalb von 5 Monaten auf 130 kg zu mästen und an die VVEAB abzuliefern. Außer dem handelsüblichen Preis erhält er je Schwein 100 kg Futtergetreide, 500 kg Roggenkleie und einen Berechtungsschein zum Kauf von 60 kg Briketts. UBz: Der Neubauer Georg Perscher (Umsiedler) (Mitte) in Großotterleben bei Magdeburg, lässt sich von dem Vertreter der Nationalen Front, Wille Haase (links) und Ernst Weber, dem Ortsvorsitzenden des LDGB, die Bedingungen des Schweinemastvertrages erläutern
