Description
English: Most of merchant are from Zanzibar where the need for meat is nearly sixty nine percent at all time, cause of hotels and scarcity of foods animals. All in all there have been many challenges that hindering the neat flow of business, these challenges include remoteness,lack of auctioneers,ways of transport, weather access, diseases, bad orders, and accuracy of where the goods is,for example from Kiteto,Kigoma,Mwanza,Shinyanga,Handeni,and Kondoa in Dodoma region.and sometimes the scarcity is due to unregulated movement of business in some season,and lead to high price for instance external and neighboring country like Kenya. Now nearly thirty five percent exactly to 600 to 900 Tons of all pride are sent to Kenya monthly, that all need of the meat is sixty five percent exactly to 5000 to 7500 Tons overall the country. The cattle to Zanzibar are imported through Bagamoyo using Ark and boats, really the transport isn't quite good and safe,that they're to cross the sea which has many hardship and trouble, they lost or capsized or being harmed though to make businesses sluggishness,whereas Zanzibar's face the fluctuations, not only that but also the bad governance plans,big tariff and V.A.T (value added tax) has been rubbernecking for the routs,here in Zanzibar all animals are officially received at Kisakasaka central part in west Urban region of Zanzibar (Unguja)Where usually registered,treated one week or eleven days before slaughtering. weight of cattle are varied 90 to 150kg
