n. Deze Hagart moet eenman van naam geweest zijn,want in 1563 werd hij uitge-noodigd om te werken aanhet mausoleum voor KeizerMaximiliaan te Innsbruck -). Maar — conjecturenblijven conjecturen ! Het isdus verklaarbaar, dat Dr. Sellonadere inlichtingen vroegomtrent de kraak te Ooste-rend, die zoo overeenstemdemet het door hem gevondenrelief. De gevraagde teeke- ningen zijn hem toegezonden; het GenocUschap stelde een onderzoekin naar i6e eeuwsche kerkvoogdijrekeningen en er ging een brief, meteen postzegel voor antwoord, naar den toenmaligen predikant van Oosterend.Men kwam echter geen stap nader tot de oplossing van het vraagstuk :de teekeningen leverden niets op, Oosterendsche rekeningen bestonden erniet van zoo ouden datum en de predikant, — die verdiende een stuiver.
