The aorta follows the lineof the vertebrae, but lies on the left side of the bodies from its commence-ment to the lower dorsal region. 1907. Dr. Thomas Dwight. I457- Vertebrae. Kypho-Scoliosis. The dorsal vertebrae with por-tions of the ribs, dried. There is extreme antero-posterior curvature caused by almost entire absenceof one vertebra with great right lateral curvature and reduction of the bodies,and extreme compression of the ribs. There is great torsion of the bodies inthe mid-dorsal region with flattening of the spinous processes. From a man 24 years old, who died of disease of the heart. 1860. Dr. C. Ellis. 8309. Vertebrae. There is marked lateral curvature to the right in the mid-dorsal regionThe ribs are very much compressed on the right side and the thorax flattened.The sternum is twisted to the left.
