ard can be obtained at from $8.50 to $10.00per month, including furnished room, fuel, lights andservants hire, and less if student furnish his own fuel,lights, etc. 2. Rooms may be rented at from 50 cents to $1.00per month, and board in clubs may then be obtained at$5.00 per month. Board for Young Women.Young women obtain board in either of two ways,as preferred by parents, guardian, or themselves, if ofage. 1. By furnishing their own bedding, towels, combsand brushes, and waiting upon their own rooms, withthe exception of bringing their wood and water, boardcosts $8.00 per month. 2. Dormitory.— The College Dormito^, for girls,supplies board, furnished rooms and servants attend-ance at $10.00 per month (two girls to the room). Therooms are handsomely furnished with oak suits, rock-ing chairs, bed eprings and mattresses, and toilet andwater sets. Young ladies furnish their own towels, pil-lows and bedding. All young ladies boarding in theDormitory are under the control of the Matron.

Elon College. 41 Board is payable, both in private families for youngmen, and in the Dormitory for young ladies, in advance,at the beginning of each month. Young ladies and gentlemen do not board and roomat the same house. Uniform. Each girl is required to wear for a winter uniform asuit of plain black goods; for the spring white piqueskirt and( white waist of any kind. The Oxford capsare worn all the year. Uniforms should be made athome, whenever convenient to do so.Endowment. Thirty-two thousand dollars was donated to theCollege the past year; twenty thousand by Hon. F. A.Palmer of New York and twelve thousand from Twen-tieth Century Fund. Of this, twenty-five thousand hasbeen added to permanent endowment. The first giftto permanent endowment came from Rev. 0. J.
