353 Spezies die breiten, sterilen Partien in den Sorus, wie solche C. Krugiana besitzt. Cintractia spicularum (Juel) Fig. 5. Syn. C. axicola (Berk.) /. spicularum Juel in dem Werke „Die Ustilagineeu und TJredineen der ersten Regnellschen Expedition" (S. 7. Tab. 1, Fig. 2; Taf. II, Fig. 6-7). Die Ahrchen werden zu einer Peridie umgebildet, welehe oval oder eiformig, bis 2"5 mm breit, bis 3 mm lang wird, weilJrotlich ist, und an der Spitze sternartig zerreiCt. Die Peridialhulle ist aus sterilen, kugligen Zellen gebildet, wird dick und fest, und bleibt lange erlialten. Im Innern derselben liegt die lose, schwarze Sporenmasse. Die Ahrchenachse ist von den Hyphen dicht verwebt und bildet nach auBen eine dicke Lage von radiaren Hyphen, welehe ab- wechselnd sterile und dazwischen liegende, von auBen von einer dicken Peridie um- gebene Sporenpartien liefern. Die Sporen sind kuglig oder etwas verflacht, nicht eckig, mit einer dicken, braunen, glatten Membran, 13—18 fi lang und breit, mit je einem mehr farblosen Porus. Die sterilen Zellen der Peridie sind kuglig, 5—12 /t breit, diinnwandig. In den Bliiten von Cyperus sp! in Soekanegara Preanger. Ob generisch von DidymocJilamys P. Hen. verschieden ? Cintractia axicola Cornu. An der Basis des zusammengesetzten Blutenstandes wird gewohn- lich ein Ahrchen infiziert in dem Wachstum gehemmt und zu ei- nem schwarzen, 1 mm dicken, zylindrischen, 1 — 4 mm langen, an- fangs dilnn behauteten PilzfruchtkOrper verwandelt. Nicht die ganze Oberflache fruktifiziert, sondern es werden zwischen den fertilen ebenso breite, radiar gestreckte. dunkle, steril bleibende Pilzwebe- streifen sehr deutlich ausgebildet. Sporen kuglig oder unregelmalJig kuglig, haufig etwas verflacht, 15 —19 (jL lang und breit, braun- sohwarz, ihre Wand ist sehr fein warzig.
