Dementsprechend fand ich auch an Sclinittpraparaten in Eiern. die sicher nur einen Richtungskorper aufwiesen. eine scbon ausgebildete, bisweilen schon im Stadium der Metakinese befindlicbe Spindel. die nicbt, vvie dies bei der zvveiten Richtungsspindel der Fall ist. schief oder radiar gestellt war, sondern tangential lag. Solcbe Spindeln waren auch mehr von der Eiperipherie entfernt. dem Eiinnern zugekehrt. man sab in ihnen ()fters die doppelte Zabl von Chroinosomen, die sicb selbst wieder zur weiteren Teilung anscbickten (vergl. z. B. Fig. 14. in der oben der erste in zwei durcb einen Zwiscbenkorper verbundene Tocbterzellen geteilte Ricbtungskorper zu seben ist). Icb babe gleicbfalls an lebendem Materiale festgestellt, da6 ei- nige Eier iiberbaupt keine Ricbtungskorper ausgestoBen batten;

Fipr 15. ein groBer Teil dieser Eier verharrte jedoch nicbt einfacb in dem Stadium der ersten Ricbtungsspindel. wie sie in den entleerten Eiern scbon zu seben ist. sondern es gingen in ihnen verscbiedene Veranderungen vor. die zu mannigfaoben Bildern fubrten. So sab man in eiuigen scbon nach langerer Zeit fixierten Eiern die erste Ricbtungs-spindel noch in der Mittc des Eies liegen. die Chromo- somen bildeten eine Aquatorialplatte oder waren in Metakinese be- grifFen. an den Polen waren die Zentriolen jedocb nicbt nur geteilt, sondern die beiden Teilbillften waren sogar bedeutend voneinander entfernt, .so daI5 die ganze mitotische Figur die Gestalt eines groDen Rechtecks darbot. In anderen sab man vielpolige Figuren oder mebrere, ofFenbar aus den zuriickgebaltenen Ricbtungsspindeln ge- bildete Kerne. Bisweilen waren gegen die Peripherie genaberte dreipolige Ricbtungsspindeln zu seben. die in Metakinese begriffe- nfn Chromosomen waren entweder auf alle drei Pole oder nur auf zwei von ihnen verteilt (vergl. z. B. Fig. 15.).
