Les auteurs de cette espèce émettent lhypothèse que cette forme pourraitpeut-être représenter Ch. furcifer jeune. Le Muséum a reçu un Chamœleon,envoyé de Tananarive par M. Lamberton, qui conrorde en tous points avec ladescriplion et la figure de Ch. Cliauvini. Lexamen de cet individu qui, à lexcep-tion de eon léger processus rosirai, présente les caractères de Ch. gastrotœnia,me porte à croire quil ne sagit pas de Ch. furcifer jeune. Ne serait-ce pas sim-plement une anomalie ou une variété de Ch. gastrotœnia ? Lexamen ultérieur dematériaux plus nombreux permettra sans doute de répondre à ces deux hypo-thèses différentes. — m —
