(82 Die Kôrpergestalt ist im Vergleich zu andern Mermithi- den relativ dick, aber trotzdem fadenfôrmig und namentlich vom rasch, fast kegelfôrmig verjûngt. Die Farbung ist eine hell-gelbliche, der Fettkôrper dunkel (das vorliegende Tier ist eine weibliche Larve vor der letzten Hâutung). Die Dicke der Haut ist am Vorderende ungefahr doppelt so gross (7â8 (j- ) als am ûbrigen Kôrper (3â4 -j- ) ; doch auch an der genmdeten Schwanzspitze ist sie betrâchtlicher. Besonders hervorgehoben muss werden, dass die Haut eine feine Kreuz- faserung besitzt ; dadurch unterscheidet sich unsere Form leicht von andern Arten mit ebenfalls nur 4 Kopfpapillen.

Die Zabi der Langswûlste ist nicht sicher i'estgestellt. Die Zellen der Latéral- und Medialwiilste ragen weit nach innen vor und sind deshalb gut sichtbar. Die Breite der Seiten- wûlste betrâgt in der Kôrpermitte und am Hinterende 48 bis 50 (>â ; vorn laufen sie ziemlich spitz zu und enden nahe hin- ter den Seitenorganen. Es ist môglich, dass nur der eine Medialwulst breit und gut sichtbar entwickelt ist. Das Kopfende ist nicht abgesetzt ; vorn ist es stumpf ge- rundet. Die Zabi der Kopfpapillen ist 4 ; sie ragen etwas ûber die Oberfliiche vor und stehen submedian. Die Seiten- organe sind relativ klein und stehen den Kopfpapillen sehr nahe ; ihre Entt'ernung vom Vorderende misst 18 ('â ; sie erinnem in der Flâchenansicht an die Form einer Birne (Fig. 8 a).
