â 148 â deckenschotter : cela est dû à une quantité de galets de flysch originaires de la nagelfluh miocène. Plus haut l'alluvion redevient normale et présente à 630 mètres une surface polie. La moraine recouvre ?iu Kalkgraben les tranches de couches du deckenschotter. Le lac de Starnherg est donc une sorte de cuvette creusée dans le deckenschotter; les versants coupent en biais les couches de cette alluvion, dont les tran- ches sont revêtues de moraines tant à droite qu'à gauche et en aval ; il en résulte que la cuvette est postérieure à la glaciation du deckenschotter. Les polis glaciaires, nombreux à la surface du decken- schotter, imphquent une usure glaciaire. L'alluvion des plateaux, qui a d'ordinaire une pente de 5 à 6 7oo7 i^'^i^ présente aucune entre Milhlthal et Tutzing, soit sur une longueur de 12 kilomètres. Sa surface à Tutzing est donc de 60 à 70 mètres en contre-bas de l'altitude qu'elle devrait avoir d'après son allure générale. D'Aynmerland au château d'Eu- rashurg^ la pente du deckenschotter est par contre plus forte que la normale, elle atteint en moyenne Figr. 17.
