The Penn-sylvania, the Reading, and the New York Central Railroads,with their fast trains, put Williamsport within two hoursreach of Harrisburg, four and a half hours of Philadelphia,and seven hours of Pittsburgh. Aim The Seminary aims to fit for college and for life. Itprepares students for any college or technical school. Forthose who do not plan to go to college, it offers exception-ally strong courses leading to appropriate diplomas. Thelarge number of graduates who have gone directly fromthe Seminary to their life work, and are now filling highpositions is the best possible testimony to the educationalvalue of these courses. Faculty The Faculty is composed of thoroughly trained, carefullyselected Christian men and women. The two ideals theyhold before themselves are scholarship and character. 11

A Home SchoolEvery effort is put forth to make the Seminary as home-Hke as possible. The instructors hve with the students,room on the same halls, eat at the same tables, and strivein every way to win their confidence and friendship. A School of Culture The Seminary aims to develop in its students an easyfamiliarity with the best social forms and customs. Inter-course with young people of both sexes in the dining hall,at receptions and other social functions, together with fre-quent talks by instructors, do much in this way for bothladies and gentlemen. A Religious School The Seminary is a religious school. It is not sectarian.At least four religious denominations are represented onits Board of Directors. Every student is encouraged to beloyal to the church of his parents. But the atmosphere ofthe school is positively and aggressively religious.
