Title
Bullet Mould Top
Description
English: Scissor form iron bullet mould with integral clippers. The ends of the handles are pointed and curled over. The mould itself comprises two small flat pans 18.11mm in diameter and 8.3mm thick with a matching notch on the edge of each forming a hole when closed measuring 6.3mm in diameter. The surface of the mould has been heavily corroded in the past but appears quite stable now.

The mould creates shot of .55 calibre most likely for a pistol, probably 18th century. (J. Ferguson, Leeds Royal Armouries Museum)
