Title
bulla of sixtus IV front and back
Description
English: An Incomplete medieval lead bulla of pope Sixtus IV (1471-1484): half of the original bulla survives, broken (as often with papal bullae) along the central line that originally contained the thread attached to the document. Half of the normal design of St Paul and St Peter are visible on the obverse, and the legend in three lines is on the reverse: "SIX[TUS] P[PAE] I[III]" Part of the slot through the centre or the bulla, through which the cord attaching it to the document would have passed, is visible.
