Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bull & Lion, 48 High Street This is the only public house in the village and is a Marston's house. It was formerly called the Bull's Head and Lion Inn. It is thought to be the only public house called the Bull & Lion in England. The building has a 17th century core. The former name of the Bull's Head and Lion Inn was derived from the coats of Arms of the Hastings and Abney families, who were for a long period of time the major landowners in the area.
