Double Tulips are desirable for carpet bed-ding, owing to their short growing habit andwell distinguished colors. White, red and yellowsorts of about the same height, planted in linesof three or four rows of each color, foi-m beds ofsurpassing beauty. Generally later in bloomingthan the single sorts and so serve to prolong theseason of gorgeous beauty in the spring flowergarden.
