The blossoms are of richand varied colors, quaint forms and delicate frag-rance. Iris bulbs should be planted in rich, moistsoil, and do better if protected by litter in winterSet the bulbs in clumps two inches apart each wayand three inches deep. Every third or fourth yearthey should be taken up and reset. Excepting An-gli6a all of the varieties we offer are perfectlyhardy, the life of each flower varying from threeto six days; they keep well in water as cut flowers. Anglica (English Iris)—This species haslarge flow^ers in shades of purple, violet, lilac,rose, pink and white, and a few of thevarieties are spotted. It is necessary thatthe bulbs be planted as soon as they cometo hand, as they will suffer if kept a longtime out of the ground. Mixed varieties,2 cents each; 20 cents per dozen, postpaid.
