Pandanus— (Screw Pine.)
So named from the screw-like arrangement of its
leaves on the stem. It is one of the most useful
decorative plants in cultivation.
Utilis — An old favorite, leaves bright green,
Small plants, price, each, 30c; 20 inches high,
$2.00; 24 inches high, $2.50.
Veilchii— A variety having beautifully variegated
leaves; they are bright green, marked wilh broad
stripes of pure or creamy white. 10 inches high,
price, each, $1.00; 10 to 12 inches high, $1.50;
15 to 18 inches high, $2.00; 18 to 20 inches high,
$2.50; 20 to 24 inches high, $3.00.
PALMS.
Our collection embraces a large assortment of the
leading kinds, prices and descriptions of which we
cheerfully furnish on application. We here enum-
erate a few of the most popular.
Areca Lutescens — Slender, plume-like leaves a
very handsome, excellent house plant. Price, each,
50c.
Cocos Weddeliana-A charming plant, unquest-
ionably the most graceful of all the small Palms; ex-
tensively used as table ornaments. Price, each, 25c
to 50c.
Kentia Belmoreana— Resembles Areca, but is
hardier and more robust in habit of growth; the
leaves are strong, yet very graceful, and are a rich,
dark green; a splendid house plant and in great de-
mand. Price, each, small plants, 25c.
Kentia Fosteriana— A beautiful species with
bright green foliage; broader and heavier than that
of the foregoing. Price, each, small plants, 25c.
