They are not only largly grown for forcing into flower during the dull cheerless months of winter and early spring, but they are equally desirable for planting in beds or in the garden border. Hyacinths grown in glasses are elegant and suitable ornaments for the parlor or sitting-room, and can be flowered in this way with very little trouble.
