English: Building named Kingswood Place, Knowle This is perhaps the largest building in Knowle, which is a redevelopment for residential use of the former Hampshire County Lunatic asylum. It illustrates the magnificent scale of Victorian building. The asylum was opened in 1852 and finally closed in 1996. The area foreground left is a yard for the builders who are still working off picture left. |
