| Description |
English: Building at junction of Calder Road and Newgate, Lower Hopton, Mirfield (SE200194) This dignified building was the Bridge Hotel, owned by the Bentley and Shaw Brewery, Lockwood, Huddersfield. The area behind was the Ledgard Bridge Colliery in 1850. There is a large arch built into the end wall at a low level (just above the waste bin), which is hard to explain as it is alongside a ground-floor room. There were cottages to the right of the building. |
