English: Airmen, soldiers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agents pose for a group photo Feb. 1 at the newly erected customs building at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base (MK), Romania. The airmen, who hail from the 387th Air Expeditionary Wing, and their U.S. Customs and Border Protection partners from the Balkans have led a month-long course to train 30 soldiers from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment out of Grafenwoehr, Germany, on how to manage the customs process at MK's new transit center overseen by the 21st Theater Sustainment Command. The trainees will inspect and scan actual passengers and their bags when the first group of soldiers and Marines concluding their deployments in Afghanistan touchdown in Romania later in February as part of the redeployment process. |
