Description
Nederlands: Uitsnede van een topografische kaart uit 1932 van het Kadaster met daarop de buurt Buikstede, zoals deze erbij lag voor de aanleg van het Van Starkenborghkanaal in 1934. Het grootste deel van de huisjes aan het Hoendiep (voorloper van het Van Starkenborghkanaal) is toen gesloopt evenals de draaibrug (3 op de kaart). Ten zuiden van het buurtje loopt nu een fietspad dat rood is ingekleurd. Dit fietspad loopt over het noordelijke deel van de vroegere laan van de borg Boekstede (borgterrein is 1 op de kaart), langs de boerderij Buikstede (2). De oranje gekleurde delen zijn de stukken weg die later zijn verwijderd.
