Summary
[edit]DescriptionBuick Excelle GT.jpg |
English: Place: Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Chinese name: 别克英朗 (biékè yīnglǎng) Year of launch: 2015 Buick is one of the most interesting success stories in China. Buick was the second largest carmaker in China last year after Volkswagen and sold over 1.2 million cars in China, compared to just 230,000 cars in the USA and 19,000 in Canada. Buick produces a wide range of cars in China: four sedans, a plug-in hybrid hatchback, an MPV and two SUVs. The sedan range comprises the Excelle GT, Verano, Regal and LaCrosse. The former two are only produced in China. The second generation Excelle GT replaced the Daewoo Lacetti/Nubira-derived Excelle, while the Verano is an Opel Astra-derived, more upmarket alternative and successor to the old Excelle GT, which confusingly was called Verano in North America. |
