Buddhika Sanjeewa is a most popular Author and Journalist in Sri Lanka. He was worked as a Media and Religious Affairs Co-ordinating officer to His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka from December 01, 2007 to November 12, 2014 in President’s Religious Affairs & Media Division, Presidential Secretariat, Colombo-01, Sri Lanka.

Before joined the Sri Lankan Government Service, he was worked as a News & Political Programme Producer from Octomber 01, 2000 to September 01, 2007 in “Live at 8”, News & Political Programme Division, Swarnavahini Television, E.A.P. Network (Pvt) Ltd. No. 676, Galle Road, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka. Swarnavahini is the Sri Lankan most popular Television channel.

According to his talented career, he has vast knowledge in 15 years of experience in Religious Affairs & Media sector both locally and internationally.

When he was on 21 years old, he was lucky be a Sri Lankan Youngest Presidential Journalist in Sri Lanka. Already done he reported and covered the News & events of two former Presidents in Sri Lanka, Her Excellency Madam Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga & His Excellency Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Buddhika Sanjeewa is always in touch with overseas. He has many official & friendship contacts in Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, France, Norway, Germany, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Kuwait, India and Thailand. By the way, he also visited these countries.

Furthermore, Buddhika participated as a representative of Sri Lanka and presented the special message of His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka in the “27th General Conference of the World Fellowship of Buddhists” (WFB) held in October 16th - 18th, 2014 at Baoji in Beijing, China and reported all areas of this conference as news stories and articles for all Sri Lankan newspapers, television channels and radio channels.

And he took the responsibility of transporting Bo Saplings of Sri Lanka’s most sacred “Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Tree” (the oldest living human - planted tree in the world) to Bangladesh, Thailand and Taiwan and planting them there as an international symbol of Peace.

He was participated as a representative of Sri Lanka Government, for special commemorative programmes of The Lord Buddha’s enlighten Anniversary of 2600 & the annually Buddhist Holy Katina Robes Pooja on October 07th - 22th 2011 in Stockholm Buddhist Temple - Sweden, Paris Buddhist Temple - France, Oslo Buddhist Temple - Norway and Rome Buddhist Temple - Italy.

Buddhika Sanjeewa, was appointed as the Taskforce Media Co-ordinating Officer of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2013 (CHOGM 2013) held in Colombo, Sri Lanka

He also participated as a delegate of Sri Lanka in the “International Peace Conference & Holy Katina Dana held in November 07th - 09th 2012 at Dhaka, Bangladesh and reported all areas of this conference as news stories and articles for all Sri Lankan news papers, television channels and radio channels.

In his life, he was so lucky for wrote and published various books about The Lord Buddha, Dambadiva in India, Nepal and World’s historical places recognized in Sri Lanka.

He wrote a book titled, “Amadam Sisilasa”. Was the content writer for the World’s 1st published Buddhist book that includes 125 Dhamma talks written within 125 hours. 125 Dhamma talks of “Amadam Sisilasa” is a monthly Full Moon Poya day official Dhamma talk held at His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka’s official residence.

Buddhika Sanjeewa directly involved the Sri Lankan peace force. He was participated in the last Peace talks between LTTE & the Sri Lankan Government on October 28 - 29, 2006 held at Geneva – Switzerland. He wrote lot of articles, and produced the documentary programmes about good governance & values of peace for all communities in the Sri Lanka.
