Summary
[edit]DescriptionBud Uanna A TEAM INTELLIGENTSIA Toward a "Thought Police State" p.2.jpg |
English: J. Robert Oppenheimer's Q Clearance was taken away from him in 1954. Oppenheimer's attorney's were Lloyd K. Garrison and Samuel Silverman. Atomic Energy Commission attorney's were Roger Robb and C. Arthur Rolander. Gordon Gray was the Chairman of the AEC Personnel Security Board. This page ties in with p. 612 of the hearing where Lloyd Garrison tries to get the minutes of the meeting that granted Oppenheimer his "final Q type security clearance." The hearing is a good example of using "National Security" as a reason to make the rules up as you go along. Oppenheimer's attorneys were naïve in believing that the AEC would play fair. |
