Title
Buckle plate or strap end
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy strap fitting or buckle plate, probably dating from the later medieval or early post-medieval period, that is c. AD1400-1600. The object is composed of two thin plates of undecorated copper-alloy which are connected with four small copper alloy rivets. They fasten the two parts of the plate to a leather strap or belt, some of which still remains between the plates.
