Title
Buckle plate
Description
English: An incomplete folded sheet copper-alloy buckle plate, semi-circular in shape measuring 41.8mm by 30.1mm in size. Only one half of this plate survives, it is recessed to accomodate the missing frame and has a rectangular pin slot. There are three circular rivet holes, one in each corner and one in the centre of the semi-circular shape. Traces of linear decoration can be seen on the front face. This buckle plate is most likely to be medieval and c14th century in date.
