Title
Buckle plate
Description
English:

Fragment of a cast copper alloy buckle plate probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is sub-oval in plan and flat. At one end are two rectangular sectioned tabbed projections which would have looped over the strap bar. The opposite end is rounded and terminates with a break. In the centre of the object is a circular rivet hole for attachment. The object has a dark green patina.
