Title
Buckle plate
Description
English: A copper-alloy folded sheet buckle plate with the copper-alloy bar of the missing frame surviving. This buckle plate is of medieval or early post medieval date. It is triangular in shape and measures 27.14mm by 15.8mm in size. It has a rectangular pin slot and is not recessed. It has an irregular hole through its centre which is most likely to be a rivet hole. On one face there is corroded iron adhering to the plate surrounding the pin slot, this may be the remains of an iron pin.
