Buckle pin
Description
English: Cast copper alloy pin from a ring brooch or buckle, square section tapering to point, integral ring originally 12mm diameter, now broken. The point where the pin shank meets the ring is marked by two transverse grooves. In London pins of this form were found in contexts dating between 1270 and 1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, Nos 541, 547, 549)
