Description
English: Copper Alloy

Buckle Frame. Cast double-looped or spectacle buckle with bevelled edges to its frame. Ferrous concretion is retained at central pin bar and on one side of the frame. The upper or lower edge of the frame is unusually thin, as if it had been subjected to heavy differential wear. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1550-1650.

Length: 25.5mm, Height: 22.7mm, Thickness: 2.6mm, Weight: 3.65gms.
