Description
English: Copper alloy

Probable Buckle chape. Cast curved and bifurcated chape with a lug at either side to engage with and rotate within a buckle frame. A cast pointed leaf motif has been given veins with a series of casually executed and intersecting angled cuts. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1575-1700.

Length: 22.1mm, Width: 23mm, Thickness: 5.7mm, Weight: 5.39gms.
