Description
English: Copper alloy Georgian shoe or knee buckle, 1660 - 1720. Trapezoidal shape with missing pin. Concave sides with three knops where the spindle hole would be located with oblique line decoration. The pin would have rested on an incised line with oblique line decoartion in a leaf-pattern. Similar to no 625, page 99 of 'Buckles 1250 - 1800' by Ross Whitehead.
