Buckle, D shaped
Description
English: Cast copper alloy buckle frame the outer edge of which consists of an 1.6mm thick plate set at an angle of 45 degrees its face bearing a series of pendant arcs cut with a 'rocked tracer'. The bar, now missing, was off-set. This type of buckle was popular in the thirteenth century when the form was used to carry Limoges type enamel decoration.
