Buckle, D shaped, fragment
Description
English: Remains of a cast copper alloy buckle, originally D shaped but more than 50 percent missing. Off-set bar, thickened front face around the centre of which is a 4.4mm wide, sheet metal roller marked with two incised lines, one of which appears to be made up of a line of cuts. In London buckles of this form occured in contexts with associations ranging in date from 1230 to 1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, Nos. 293, 301, 317).
