Description
English:
Mermaid ornamental well (~Fountain with Mermaid) by Makrisz Agamemnon. Mosaics by Makrisz Zizi /born as Luise Srnić/, Renovated by Tamás Kiss and János Papp. It is based on a Russian folk tale. At the bottom, mosaics of marine animals can be seen on four concrete discs (renovated by János Papp). Those four shapes, which I think resemble a plant, are the wave, and from them emerges the mermaid. This is clearly shown by the fact that his hand is not patterned in detail, but as if water is flowing off him... The 6.5m high artwork installed in middle of Moszkva Square (later Széll Kálmán Square) in 1980. In 2016, during the renovation of the square, it was demolished and installed not in its original place, in the middle of the square, but 100-150 meters away - Now it stand at corner of Krisztina Boulevard and Várfok Street, Krisztinaváros neighbourhood, Budapest District XII.

Avatás áthelyezés után 2016. május, Avatás 1980. Egy orosz népmese alapján készült. Alul 9 betonkorong közül négyen tengeri állatokat ábrázoló mozaikok láthatók. Az a négy, szerintem növényi termésre emlékeztető forma a hullám, és abból emelkedik ki a sellő. Ezt jól mutatja, hogy a keze nincs részletesen megmintázva, hanem olyan, mintha a víz éppen lefolyna róla… Info: kozterkep.hu/27997/sello-diszkut Megj. a kozterkep.hu-n a felállítás helye eredetileg XII. ker. és áthelyezés után I. ker.
