Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Brunel's "bridge rail" used as a post for railings. The black upright is known as "bridge rail" because of its cross-section. It is the kind of rail Brunel used in his 7ft wide gauge railway. When the Didcot, Newbury & Southampton Railway was being constructed in the 1880s, there must have been plenty of this bridge rail no longer needed, so it was used for railing posts.
