Description |
English: Cast copper alloy brooch of 'Trumpet' type. Central mouldings on bow consisting of a circumferential band either side of which are three projections. To each side of these mouldings is a deep groove and three smaller grooves. Down the length of bow towards the foot are three longitudinal ribs formed by cutting back the surface of the metal. On the end of the foot is a conical terminal marked by a circumferential moulding and a groove. Around the trumpet shaped head are two mouldings, the pin (broken but present) is of hinged type and around the head are the remains of a wire loop. The brooch is in good condition and appears unpatinated. |
