Title
Bronze age copper-alloy palstave
Description
English: A small, corroded cast copper-alloy fragment probably comprising the butt of a palstave axe of Middle Bronze Age date. The object is sub-trapezoidal in form, with a ragged break. It narrows from its maximum thickness at the break to a minimum at the terminal. Emergent flanges are faintly visible at the sides. The object has a dark-green patina where it survives; it is otherwise light green or orange/brown as a result of corrosion.
