Title
Bronze Age spearhead
Description
English: Fragment of copper-alloy spearhead tip, lozenge-shaped in cross-section and with a lozenge-shaped socket reaching to within about 35 mm of the broken end. All edges, except tip break, are severely abraded. The tip break is therefore probably more recent, though it actually shows a slight casting void. The lozenge-shaped cross-section socket is a characteristic of Wilburton form spearheads (cf. the Isleham hoard) of the Late Bronze Age, c. 1200-1000 BC.
