Title
Bronze Age socketed axehead (fragment)
Description
English: A fragment of a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead.

Only the lower part of the tool survives, the upper portion having been lost in antiquity, revealing the hollow interior. The sides of the body converge towards the rounded blade. There are patches of a mid green patina, but the remainder of the surfaces are heavily corroded. Extending vertically down one of the thin outer sides is a casting flash.

The piece measures 19.4mm long, 30.2mm wide and 9.5mm thick. The weight is 15g.
