Bronze Age scraper
Description
English: A scraper of late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, c. 2200-1600 BC.

It is formed of a dark grey secondary flake, with the colour being darker grey to black on the ventral face, and an irregular mid-grey with white speckles on the dorsal face. It is sub-oval or discoidal in shape and approximately D-shaped in cross section, with the dorsal face convex and the ventral face slightly concave. Conchoidal ripple marks are visible on both sides, although the striking platform is not clearly visible. There is short scalar retouch present around the edges, at an abrupt angle, and a small number of very long sub-parallel retouch scars horizontally across the dorsal face.

Measurements: length: 36.25mm, width: 41.03mm, thickness: 0.85mm, weight: 16.95 g.
