Title
Bronze Age scraper
Description
English: A Bronze Age flint scraper dating to the period c. 2350-800 BC. It is semi-circular in shape, with a patch of cortex covering c60% of the dorsal surface with only the edges worked and retouched. The ventral face has a negative bulb scar where a piece has been struck off this on and closely spaced, conchoidal rippple marks, suggesting that the artefact has been hard hammer struck. The dorsal face, has evidence of acute to semi-abrupt short and long mixed sub- parallel retouch running along the surviving length of the curved distal edge to the proximimal end on one side, the corner of the distal edge is missing to a break. The other side is damaged with a break has varous chips and damage probably as the result of platform preparation. The flint is a translucent dark grey colour, with cream inclusions.

It is 25.84 mm in length with a maximum width of 26.15mm and a minimum width of 21.57mm. It is 10.32mm thick with a weight of 8.64g
