Title
Bronze Age scraper
Description
English: Knapped flint side and end scraper on a secondary flake. The flake is very crude, it has been struck off a previous removal but appears to be an early removal with 95% cortex on the dorsal face. there is a prominent bulb of percussion, percussion ripples and large bulb scars on the ventral face. It is broadly oval in plan with one more pointed end. The strike point was in the centre of one long side and this side has damage from failed removals on the dorsal face. The distal side and right, rounded, end (as seen from the dorsal face) have long, scalar semi-abrupt retouch worked from the ventral side and becoming more sub-parallel towards the rounded end. The retouch has removed the cortext along these edges. The more pointed end is not retouched. It is made on dark brown-black flint and is 31.4mm long, 50.3mm wide, 10.5mm thick and weighs 15.56 grams.

The crude flake wider than it is long suggests a Bronze Age date.
