English: A retouched tertiary flake of mottled grey flint, probably dating to the later Bronze Age, c. 1600-800 BC. The flake is sub-triangular in plan, missing its striking platform, but with the suggestion of a large bulb of percussion. Three irregular, flake-like removal scars survive on the dorsal face, all struck from roughly the same direction and with one removal being significantly hinged. At the left edge of the proximal end of the ventral face there is short, low angle, stepped retouch, with short, semi-abrupt, scalar retouch at the right edge of the distal end of the same face. The dorsal face exhibits long, semi-abrupt, stepped retouch along both edges.
Dimensions: length 48.4mm; width 52.6mm; thickness 11.6mm; weight 23.15g.
