English: Early Bronze Age Squat copper alloy flat axehead with slightly damaged butt-end, sides expanding and flaring slightly to rather asymmetrical cutting edge (width 60mm). Body rectangular in section and quite thick at mid-way point (10mm), thinning to butt-end and cutting edge. Surface corroded. Length 78mm, width 59mm, weighs 209g. c.2350 – c.1500 BC. |
