Description
English: A fragment of a Middle Bronze Age dirk or rapier.

The piece represents the distal end of the artefact. It is of hexagonal section, on both surfaces the sides gently sloping downwards either side of a flat central ridge, towards the cutting edges. The sides taper very gradually towards the end, before angling inwards more sharply at the point. The surfaces are corroded but retain patches of a mid green patina.

Dimensions: 45.4mm long, 11.5mm wide, 4.1mm thick. Weight: 8.72g.
